Balakrishnan J is the Chief Operating Officer of HiTech Diagnostic Centre and Metropolis Healthcare in Tamil Nadu. He is currently spearheading and driving the overall operations and P&L for both the business units.

Balakrishnan J is an IAF veteran and a well accomplished Business Leader with over two decades of robust work experience in Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Distribution Sales, Corporate & Enterprise Sales, Customer Service and P&L management. Prior to Metropolis Healthcare, he was previously associated with Rivigo Services, a logistics company. He also had a successful & a long-term career stint with the esteemed telecom organization ‘Bharti Airtel’ Ltd, where he gained immense experience in leading and managing different southern markets in various roles. He also worked with companies like BPL Mobile Cellular Limited and Usha Martin Telekom Limited. Prior starting his career with corporate organizations, he served as a Flight Lieutenant for 6 years in the Indian Air Force.

On the academic front, Balakrishnan holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and have pursued his MBA in Marketing Management, Post-graduate Diploma in Operations Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. Besides, he also holds a diploma in International Trade from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune.
